In recent years, more and more customers have chosen to use fiber laser cutting machines as cutting tools.
Due to the fact that fiber laser cutting machines are large precision equipment composed of many precision components, it is necessary to perform basic daily maintenance and upkeep at specific times to ensure the normal operation of the equipment, reduce the possibility of malfunctions, and extend the service life of the equipment. As a beginner, you may be confused about the maintenance methods of laser cutting machines, the cutting machine accessories that need to be maintained, and the maintenance cycle. Therefore, we will share with you the daily maintenance cycle and precautions of the laser cutting machine, hoping to be helpful to you.
Daily maintenance:
1. Clean the lens and nozzle of the fiber laser cutting head.
Notes:
1) Fiber laser cutting head is a precision instrument. Please wear clean gloves when maintaining the laser head.
2) Please use a cotton swab or a cotton swab and high-purity alcohol to wipe the lens. Before cleaning, there should be no residue on the lens.
3) If inaccurate positioning or damage to the lower end of the nozzle is found, please replace it with a new nozzle.
4) Please make sure to replace the cutting head accessories in a clean and dust-free environment, otherwise it may damage the laser source or cutting head.
2. Ensure that the machine reaches the origin.
3. Check the concentricity of the fiber laser source and nozzle.
4. Check if the operation panel buttons and emergency stop button are working properly.
5. Check if the cutting air pressure is normal.
6. Check for leaks and pressure in the gas supply system.
7. Check all levels of air filtration and drainage.
8. Check if the water pipes are leaking.
9. Check if there is any abnormal noise from the machine tool.
Weekly maintenance:
1. Clean the X and Y-axis rack rails and Z-axis screw rails.
Notes: First remove surface stains, then apply lubricant.
2. Check if the exchange workbench chain is loose and confirm the movement.
3. Check if there is undissolved water in the filter.
4. Check the proximity switch (if there is an exchange platform) and bracket buffer of the exchange workbench.
5. Check the proximity switch and bracket buffer of the exchange platform (if there is an exchange platform).
6. Clean the slag drawer.
7. Clean the foreign objects on the guide rails of the exchange table and the machine tool.
8. Manually lubricate the Z-axis screw guide twice.
Monthly maintenance:
1. Check if all components inside the electrical cabinet are working properly and remove any dust.
Notes: Do not directly touch the electronic components inside the cabinet. Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the dust inside the cabinet (do not use compressed air).
2. Precautions for changing water in the water cooler.
Notes:
1) Please ensure that the water cooler is powered off. When maintaining the water cooler, please strictly follow the instructions in the user manual.
2) Use pure water when replacing.
Maintain once every 3 months:
1. Check if the connection part of the cutting head is loose.
2. Adjust the constant temperature of the chiller (18-28 degrees).
3. Check if the motor driver connector is loose and clean it.
4. Check if the air compressor is working properly.
Clean the computer host every three months. You need to clean the computer host, remove the fixing strip, and take off the cover. The motion control card and storage module can be disassembled and cleaned, please use a clean and dry cloth to do this.
Maintain once every 6 months:
1. Check if the components inside the cabinet are working properly and remove any dust.
2. Check if the dust-proof cloth on each axis is damaged.
3. Check if the fixing screws of the rear door panel of the exchange workbench are loose.
4. Check if the air compressor (if any) needs maintenance.
5. Check if the air filter needs to be replaced.
6. Check if the focusing lens and collimating lens need to be replaced.
Annual maintenance:
1. Clean or replace the water pipe.
2. Check the usage of each relay in the electrical cabinet and replace it if necessary.
3. Clean the laser source.
4. Check the contact condition of each cable and plug it tightly.
5. Check if the cutting gear plate needs to be replaced.
6. Check if the focusing lens and collimating lens need to be replaced.
Maintain once every 2 years:
1. Replace the air filter element (if there is an air filter) and the air pipeline filter element.
2. Replace the water pipe filter of the chiller.
3. Replace aging water and air pipes.
4. Check if the screw guide ball needs to be replaced.
5. Check if the photoelectric travel switch and proximity switch need to be replaced.
Maintain once every 3 years:
1. Check if the screw guide ball needs to be replaced.
2. Check if the chain needs to be replaced.
3. Check if the transmission gear needs to be replaced.
4. Check if the high-pressure air pipe needs to be replaced.
5. Check if the safety relay needs to be replaced.
6. Check if the computer host needs to be replaced.
Maintain once every 4 years:
Thoroughly inspect the machine tool.
Things You Should Know About Winter:
1. Before winter arrives, the water cooler should be replaced with antifreeze in a timely manner to prevent frostbite to the water cooler, laser, laser head, etc. If the antifreeze is not replaced, it is necessary to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the water cooler and prevent it from not working and freezing due to power outages.
2. After the end of winter, replace the antifreeze in the water cooler with deionized water (distilled water, purified water) in a timely manner. When replacing, fill the water cooler with pure water 2-3 times and clean it before adding water.
Notes:
1. When carrying out maintenance work, the machine must be turned off through the main switch. All attachments need to be powered off. Strict adherence to safety regulations is necessary to prevent accidents from occurring.
2. Cleaning precautions: The entire equipment must be thoroughly cleaned at regular intervals. Obvious dirt can be cleaned or removed with an industrial vacuum cleaner.
