What is the difference between fiber laser welding machine and traditional welding machine?

1. Different principles

Traditional welding machines work by heating metal with an arc or current to melt it and connect it with another metal. The laser welding machine uses the heat of the laser beam to heat the

metal locally to achieve the purpose of welding.


2. The welding effect is different

When welding some materials with large thickness, the traditional welding machine is prone to defects, such as the welding seam is not tight, pores or cracks. The laser welding machine can 

achieve local heating, the welding effect is more fine, and some problems that are difficult to solve by traditional welding machines can be avoided.


3. Different scope of application

Due to the higher welding accuracy of the laser welding machine, it is suitable for areas with higher welding quality requirements, such as electronic parts, medical equipment and other fine 

fields. The traditional welding machine is suitable for more rough welding tasks, such as buildings, Bridges and other large projects.


4.Operation requirement is different

Fiber laser welding heat is small, the metal sheet is not easy to deformation, easy to operate, and the technical requirements for workers are not high.

Traditional welding operations are observed and performed under a mask. Because the field of vision is unclear and the working conditions are poor, so to ensure the quality of welding, not

only must have a more skilled operating technology, but also should be highly focused.


5. The use cost is different

Because the laser welding machine technology is more advanced, it is more complex to use than the traditional welding machine, so the cost of the laser welding machine is relatively high.
